Template General_Purpose.dbc does not exist. Please specify an existing template for database creation.

I got this error during the Installation of  11gR2.Did Install /UnInstall couple of times , but not able to resolve the issues.

Latter I Unzip both the Files Disk1/2 in One folder  ( Copied the Files Disk2>database>stage>components , in same location of Disk1).

And able to install it sucessfully.

Hope that helps

  5. I am trying to install oracle 11g into a VM. I unzipped both into the same directory *several* times. After each failure, I go back and try again - still no luck.

  12. You need to uninstall database and install it again. Go to Oracle_Home>>Deinstall and run Deinstall

  13. Unable to uninstall previous incomplete versions - when to Oracle_Home (a\app\alani\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\deinstall and clicked on deinstall

A command opened and later closed but all installed products can still be seen

    Any ideas?
